Parallel Worlds: Our Astral Journeys Uncovered And Revealed
How Dark Angel and I travel the astral plane together to conduct our magick... Plus mega-powerful "Necrom" working
Nearly all our magick is now done on the astral plane, or as I prefer to say, in "parallel worlds." I'd always traveled the astral ever since I was a young boy. Then it was involuntary out-of-body experiences, which were terrifying. But over the years I learned to accept it and control it.
When Dark Angel and I met it turned out it had been the same for her too. We even have reason to believe that she and I were in astral contact with each other as children, possibly during past lives going back to antiquity. It's complex. I maintain a skeptical attitude to such things. But various strange phenomena led me to accept that we go back a long way… let’s put it that way.
The picture above is obviously digital art. BUT it gives you an idea of what our astral journeys are often like. Sure, nothing is solid and whole worlds can suddenly change entirely, but the above is a fair representation.
Very soon after meeting each other (in this life), we found we could leave our bodies and travel the parallel worlds together.
It's not all roses, though…
We've encountered very scary and malevolent entities more times than I care to count. There's no set ways to deal with them, either. You have to think on your feet every time.
Many workings we do for clients are conducted on the astral plane. Always in the safer realms - save for the mega-powerful "Necrom" working we do (more on this below), which is one of our "under the table" spells and isn't on the website.
In general, when doing astral magick, we find ourselves on a deserted plain, like a heathland, with a few trees dotted about. Eventually, we come across a stone circle, enter it, and stand at its center by the altar stone.
Here we either channel energies or call upon specific entities - often one of the 72 demons from the medieval manuscript, the Ars Goetia.
Naturally, when you are able to travel the moonbeam roads to parallel worlds, you soon realize that the idea of demons being "evil" is fallacious - a human construct. What you're looking at is "energy intelligences" for whom good and evil has no meaning. Bear in mind this goes beyond words. The words are merely the map, not the territory, to quote semantics scholar Alfred Korzybsky.
Below is how we do our Necrom working…
This will give you a good idea of how we operate on the various levels of the astral plane / parallel worlds (as I say, this one is not on our website).
The God With No Name
At the prescribed day and hour, according to lunar and solar alignments, we go to a place of power, typically a Bronze Age mound or monument, somewhere deserted and lonesome. We don’t want a bus-load of normies turning up (like they do at Stonehenge) as they would scupper the whole atmosphere and ruin the proceedings.
Once we’ve situated ourselves, we meditate for a while to clear our minds of thoughts and language patterns. We then enter visionary trance, spinning off the hypnogogic visions that shimmer and sparkle before our closed eyes. Soon we are on the astral plane and making our way past strange, ephemeral landscapes, curious humanoid entities, and otherworldly creatures.
Entry to the underworld is many and varied…
It can be a cave, a wooded grove, or stone circle - all on the parallel planes. We can’t predict what it will be and often have to spend considerable time locating the entry point.
As we descend what we call the “black ladder” that spirals down into the underworld (there’s actually no real down or up, it’s all turns of phrase for convenience), we have to be very careful as there are many entities that seek to delude us and trick us, or drive us plain crazy. It’s never a safe journey.
Once we’ve arrived in the underworld, it can take many forms often it is a lonesome plain, with a few trees and rocks on the semi-twilight landscape. Usually there’s a stone circle. We enter that and stand in the center. It is here that Necrom makes his appearance.
I don’t want to say much more about this…
It’s an utterly bewildering experience, one where you resolutely have to keep your nerve… and not fall into abject terror, for, if you do, you will be a lost soul forever roaming the obsidian wastes.
When confronted with Necrom, the shocking part is you come to know that nothing whatsoever is real - not even our Earthly plane. To say it is all an illusion would be wrong, as that implies there is somewhere that is real.
There isn’t.
This realization is what can drive the unwary adventurer to insanity. You have to be able to accept this or you’re forever lost and confused, mostly a gibbering basket case. Accepting it, though, transforms your consciousness in ways beyond the ability of language to describe.
Suffice to say, we are able to petition Necrom on your behalf...
This often takes a few hours as he likes to toy with you and is very reluctant to help out humans as a rule. It’s often a battle of wits and demands all you’ve got in terms of saying the right things, which have to contain many ironies and even witticisms. You have to be a veritable Oscar Wilde to deal with Necrom.
In fact, I sometimes have to tell Dark Angel to shut up, as Necrom can get irritated with her - and she knows it. But now and then he’s impressed with her, especially her level of attitude and fiestiness.
Once we’ve finally managed to get Necrom to agree to our petition to him on your behalf, we have to make an offering to him - usually back on the Earthly plane.
In the distant past he favored human sacrifices, thousands upon thousands if he had his way (and he did with the Aztecs), but now realizes such practices are hardly appropriate anymore.
Interestingly he never allowed animal sacrifices in his name, which says something about the nature of humans… quite what I’ll let you decide (hint: it’s to do with language and thinking in words).
What we often do for a sacrifice is burn a few hundred pounds or dollars - get the cash out of an ATM and burn the money at some desolate place of power. That always works well. Necrom is typically more than satisfied. What’s more burning money is pretty satisfying in itself (look up "KLF burn a million pounds").
