As always you're a font of wisdom Doc. My favourite takeaway from this particular video was the term you used "Digital Fasting" couldn't agree more with that because in today's world we do seem to have become addicted to technology, I mean I'm using it to watch you're video and to respond. That's why a little tech detox once in a wee while is a great thing, it's pressing the reboot button on your mind for sure.
To your friend in the Mediterranean; I'm sure brighter days are ahead, good things are just around the corner I'm certain.
Anyway thanks for another fantastic video, lots to mull over as always.
Thank you. I'd say it's gone beyond addiction now. Phones, for example, are in your hand, pocket or bag, but they are now a psychological augmentation. Soon we'll be chroming up, chips, direct interface with the machine.
I can hear people saying "oh isn't it terrible"... no it's not, it's glorious, transhumanism is about taking over where inept evolution left off. Yes, it will be dystopia, but I wouldn't say 1987 or whatever was utopia - the humans still thought they were superior and special... ugly hubris of the meat machines!
Now of course, there's a new species on the planet - AI. Humans are now pet dogs. So no real choice but to chrome up - that or get left behind. Haha.... AI told be to be Mr Incendiary! Not me, guv...

And yes, digital fasting is key - otherwise you don't realize you are addicted/augmented.
