As midnight approaches I head over to an abandoned country crossing of the ways at West Stow in Suffolk, where there was once an Anglo Saxon settlement, and tumuli (Bronze Age mounds) abound. It's a unique place, full of atmosphere and where the energy streams of the landscape can be tapped into.

In a sense, it's a magickal "pilgrimage" where I enter visionary trances and the natural world melds with mind. As I stand at the center of the crossways I begin whispering the mysterious incantation known as the “Unknown Tongue.” This is the secret language of the subconscious mind handed down to me by my line of ancestral forbears.

Then it's time to call upon the Terrifying Sovereign...

Leaving the crossways I walk a little further and came to the unique statue you see in the photo below. No one seems to know how old it is, nor who sculpted it. But for me, via psychic vision, it is symbolic of an ancient European ancestor known as the "Terrifying Sovereign", whom I call upon when a situation is tight and things need to be done. He dwells between the worlds on a far flung mountain range in an area known as the steppes, a shadowy presence both here and neverwhere.

I light a small ritual fire nearby, the flames of which spiral make eerie patterns. Via my incantations, I summon the Terrifying Sovereign to “help our dear friend in need." As his form takes shape, partly in my mind's eye, and in the swirling smoke of my ritual fire, he gives his blessing for your three requests to come to pass.

Having drawn a sigil summarizing your requests, I will hurl your petition into the flames, casting it into the aether, where manifestation in the everyday world comes to fruition.

As I do so I intone:

“All Power! All is decreed! So shall it be!​”
