For example, you might dream of your city or town that is somehow different. Or possibly the place you were born in and grew up in.
History might be different.
There might not be cellphones or computers. It might be more “steampunk”. Or if you know about the Empire of Tartaria, it might be like that - a kind of Golden Age.
Perhaps more rural and tranquil - no manipulative control structures pushed by the authorities.
Or it might be a dystopia.
If you do have dreams like this, which recur every so often, does the alternative reality progress and move forwards? For example, you get into a new dream of this reality and it's further on in time. Events have moved on.
A friend of mine has had these type of dreams since young. As he says, it could be down to overactive imagination.
Or we might get into the Mandela Effect, Quantum Mechanics, Simulation Theory and Parallel Worlds.
Anyway, I'm asking people to see if there's others that dream of alternative realities. I know there is as SF author Phillip K. Dick dreamed of other timelines, and his Man In The High Castle was based on a timeline he had dreamed of that seemed very real to him.
At some point, I might set up a Reddit group for this - in a bid to collect data and see if we are onto something.

Do any of you dream of alternate timelines?
