Gabrielle Ornate: A chance meeting amidst the ruins

Talking with unique "ethereal rock" duo

I ventured from my lair to a ruined medieval church on the bleak and windswept coastline of Suffolk. By chance (or so it seemed), I came upon Gabrielle and Orlando of the musical art project, Gabrielle Ornate. Described as “ethereal rock, you can't shake off”, their music evokes the sheer exhilaration of escaping Plato’s Cave (entrapment of the mind) into the sheer liberation of what lies beyond the plodding, staid simulacrum of everyday reality.

It was an unexpected encounter at a lonely place. Being a Tuesday around 2:00 p.m., the majority of Earth bipeds were at work, or running around amid the hustle and bustle of the crazed rat race that owes more to an insane ant colony than to a civilized, rational species.

And yet there we were. Myself, Gabrielle and Orlando, filming snippets of our lives, digitizing the buzzing electrical sparks of our neuro-mantic indulgences.

So it struck your good Doktor Snake that he should flick on his video camera and have a chat with them both about their musical and artistic output, not to mention their views on philosophy and classic literature.

It turned out all three of us were on the same wavelength, looking to empower Earth bipeds on this sorrowful planet in a bid to help them achieve the heights, and perhaps even become Human 2.0.
