The story introduces the First King and the idea that certain ancient places are not necessarily destinations.
They may be interfaces.
The mound is not something you enter.
The mound changes the position from which you observe.
That distinction is the basis of this operation.
CONTACT PROTOCOL
There is no need for candles.
No incense.
No circle.
No robes.
Nothing needs to be summoned.
You require only somewhere you can sit undisturbed for twenty or thirty minutes.
You can perform this indoors.
But if you have spent time earlier that day near an old church, burial mound, ancient track, ruined building, woodland or other place that has lodged itself strongly in your imagination, so much the better.
Do not perform the operation while driving, walking beside traffic, or anywhere your attention is required for physical safety.
Sit.
Phone off.
Feet on the ground.
Eyes closed.
Then begin.
