Emotional Hijack

A single emotion can seize control of the mind.

Fear, anger, humiliation, envy — any one of them can override logic, collapse attention, and push behaviour into reaction. When that happens, you’re no longer choosing. You’re being run.

That’s emotional hijack.

Emotions aren’t the enemy. They’re fast, ancient signals designed for survival. The problem begins when emotion becomes the operator — when the emotional brain takes command and bypasses perception and judgement.

In this field transmission, I look at:

  • what emotional hijack actually is

  • why it feels overwhelming in the moment

  • how attention collapses under emotional surge

  • why reasoning fails during hijack

  • and how sensory override breaks the loop in real time

Dokology doesn’t fight emotion or suppress it. That only adds fuel. Instead, it reroutes attention — out of the emotional channel and back into perception.

The method is simple, practical, and immediate:
shift attention into the senses, sequentially, until the surge loses momentum. When attention moves, hijack disengages.

This recording was made on location, in ordinary conditions. Because emotional hijack doesn’t happen in ideal circumstances — it happens in traffic, conversations, work situations, and moments of pressure. That’s where control actually matters.

This week’s work is straightforward:
interrupt one emotional hijack deliberately.
Notice the moment it begins, and instead of reacting, redirect attention into sensation. Watch how quickly the intensity collapses when you stop feeding it.

This is how internal sovereignty becomes real.

New field transmissions drop Thursdays.
