Thinking of the possibilities of the Empire of Tartaria existing brings to my mind this quote from Robert. E. Howards Conan the Barbarian stories-
"Know, oh prince, that between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities, and the years of the rise of the Sons of Aryas, there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars."
I do wonder if tatar sauce and steak tartare were so named perhaps because of Tartaria being their origin?
Also new archaeological discoveries are happening all the time and our viewpoint of the past keeps changing. So what's now classed as fiction could very well oneday be proven to be fact. Best to keep an open mind l guess.
Haha, yes, I bought some Tartar Sauce last night - haven't had it in years. Kind of had to with all our Great Tartaria stuff! Robert E. Howard was brilliant, and that quote sums it all up. As you say, science and history changes with new discoveries and thoughts... and actually the whole belief in Tartaria could make it a reality... shaping our reality... that's bringing in Quantum Mechanics at the far edge.
